A man with a long criminal record is behind bars after his girlfriend told Portsmouth Police he assaulted her and held her against her will.
She initially contacted officers Friday morning to report the assault. Police noted she had injuries on her face. They called for an ambulance and Child Protective Services. The woman refused medical treatment.
Police arrested Jason Hall the next day at an auto repair shop on the Scioto Trail. This was Hall’s 23rd arrest. Officers booked him into the Scioto County Jail on charges of domestic violence, obstructing official business, and probation violation.
Hall has previous arrests for multiple probation violations, assault, breaking and entering, domestic threats, theft, drug abuse, and other charges.
