Portsmouth officers responded to multiple reports of burglaries and thefts in the city.
Just after 3 am, a 7th Street resident called police to report a burglar had damaged their kitchen window. Officers took information for a report.
About thirty minutes later a Sinton Street caller reported that someone broke into their apartment. Police took information for a report.
A Starbucks customer inside Kroger called the police at 9 am to report someone stole his bag off a table while he was getting coffee. The manager said the store would review the camera footage to see if they could see the crime.
At 2 pm, employees at the Scioto Shoe Mart said a tall man dressed in black wandered into the store. They said the man appeared to be on drugs. The man stole a charger and then stumbled out of the store and down the road. Police could not locate him.
At 11:43 a.m., a woman came into the police department to report that someone had broken into her van parked on Wayne Avenue. She said the thief took a blank money order for $656 and $40 in cash.
