EMS transported a pregnant woman to the hospital after a crash on US 52 around 4 am. We’ve told you before that this is a particularly dangerous time of the year for collisions with deer and that those hours before dawn are the most risky.
The crash happened on US 52 EB near Franklin Furnace. Witnesses said the driver was 8 months pregnant and experiencing back pain.
Ohio State Troopers and EMS responded to the accident and transported the driver, Joslyn Adkins, 21, of Proctorville, to St. Mary’s Hospital in Ironton for treatment.
According to the OSP report, Adkins was following all traffic rules and did not show signs of impairment. She was not cited for the unfortunate accident.
