The Scioto County Land Reutilization Corporation (SCLRC) will oversee the demolition of the structurally unsound building located at 1502 4th Street, Portsmouth, Ohio (Parcel ID: 32-1531.000). The structure, built in 1914, is beyond safe repair and contains presumed asbestos-containing materials (PACM) and household hazardous waste due to limited access for full assessment.
Qualified contractors may submit questions regarding the project by Monday, May 12, 2025. All bids must be submitted electronically no later than 5:00 PM EST on Thursday, May 15, 2025. The project is anticipated to be awarded on Friday, May 16, 2025.
Demolition will be conducted by an Ohio-licensed asbestos abatement contractor in accordance with Ohio EPA and OSHA regulations. The scope includes complete structure removal, regulated debris disposal, and grading of the site for future development.
This is a prevailing wage project and contractors must comply with all applicable wage requirements.
