Rachel Dawn Penix, 35 of New Boston passed away Monday, July 27, 2020, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born on November 2, 1984, in Portsmouth.
A daughter of William Penix of Portsmouth and Ruth Robertson of New Boston. Rachel loved spending time with her family and friends. Besides her parents she is survived by two sons, Leeland Rogers and Legend Rogers of Dayton; three brothers, Jonathan Penix of Portsmouth, Benjamin Penix of Wheelersburg, and Christopher Morrison of Portsmouth; three sisters, Tiffany Penix of Portsmouth, Myrakal Penix of New Boston and Nikita Adkins of Portsmouth.
She was preceded in death by a son, Malachi Kerns; grandparents, Ruth and Alvin Davis and Frank and Mary Penix. Services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Wolfe- Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with visitation from 1 to 2 PM. Private interment will take place at a later date.
