Officers say a motorcyclist copped an attitude after an incident at the Taco Bell on Gallia. The initial call came in at 2:30 am. A restaurant employee said a guy on a motorcycle in the drive-through was trying to hit the vehicle in front of him.
Officers followed the cyclist down Kendall, onto Young, then to Vinton, and finally pulled him over on Center.
Police said the driver acted belligerently and kept trying to leave the scene before official business was completed. Officers stuck him in the back of a police car while they issued his citation and explained the reasons behind it.
They say the man then went inside his home and came back onto the porch with his dog on a leash, all the while recording officers and telling them they weren’t going to impound his bike.
A tow company arrived to take the bike just after 4 am. While loading the motorcycle, the tow company did drop the bike. Officers advised the driver that the towing company would be liable for any damages to the bike.
