Robber Demands Money
A clerk at an area Family Dollar just wasn’t having it when a robber demanded money.
Officers responded to the store on County Road 406 for a robbery report just after 9:30 am. The clerk explained that a man in a gray sweatshirt wearing a mask tossed a yellow Dollar General Bag at her in a threatening manner.
She said he appeared to have his hand on a weapon inside his sweatshirt. The clerk told the man, “Oh, hell, no!” and ran out of the store.
She ran around the side of the store and waited for the man to leave in a maroon sedan. Officers photographed and collected the bag and checked out video footage of the incident as part of their report.
Danger at the Dollar Store
It was a bad day for employees of Family Dollar and the Dollar General. Workers at both locations had to deal with threatening customers.
Around 9:30 pm, a man who had been barred from the Family Dollar on 11th Street became angry when employees told him to leave. He threatened them and said he would “have my girl take care of you.”
Officers took information and said they would attempt to locate the man to trespass him.
At the same time, a man was causing problems at the Dollar General on Gallia. Employees said a man in a black coat and black face mask refused to leave the store.
However, he was gone by the time officers arrived. They searched the area for him but could not locate him.
