It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Jambard, a beloved husband, cherished son, loving father and devoted friend. Robert entered into eternal rest on December 21, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on May 14, 1954, in Hartford, Connecticut, he radiated warmth and kindness throughout his life, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
A life dedicated to the open road, Robert spent his days as a truck driver, finding joy in the rhythm of the highways. His vibrant spirit came alive as he navigated the world, his heart forever tied to the freedom of the journey. Alongside his passion for transportation, Robert had a profound love for animals. A devoted companion to his trio of cherished chihuahuas-Gomez, Lilly, and Cocoa-he found endless joy in their playful companionship, delighting in the simple pleasure of taking them for walks.
Bob was a passionate baseball fan, with unwavering loyalty to his favorite team, the Anaheim Angels. He found solace and excitement in the game, often sharing his enthusiasm with friends and family during spirited viewings. An avid car enthusiast, Robert took immense pride in his 2003 Mach 1 Mustang, showcasing it at numerous car shows. The gleam of his cherished vehicle reflected his zest for life and adventure, just as he reflected the love of those around him.
Bob is survived by his spouse of seven years, Taylor Jambard of Wheelersburg, and his father, Leo Jambard of Florida, his son Matt Jambard of Connecticut, and two daughters, Sara Jambard of Massachusetts and Stephanie Jambard of Connecticut, one granddaughter, Emily Jambard, one brother and sister in law, Bryan and Joann Jambard of Connecticut, and one sister and brother in law, Linda and Claude “June” La Joie, of Florida, his father in law, James Taylor of Wheelersburg, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins, Nancy and Shawn Rhines, and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Miralda Jambard and his first wife and mother of his children, Mary Jambard.
In this moment of reflection, we invite all whose lives Bob touched to carry his spirit forward, embracing the kindness, passion, and unwavering love that defined him. May we all walk forward, as he would wish, hand in hand with the memories of a truly extraordinary soul.
