Robert L. Snyder, 91, of Wheelersburg, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at SOMC ER. He was born June 23, 1933 in Stockdale, a son of the late George W. and Christine (Kayser) Snyder, and retired from Fluor Daniels Construction. Bob was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean War era.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty Lou (Montgomery) Snyder; four children, Paula Yeley of Wheelersburg, DeWayne (Susan) Snyder of Minford, Brian (Denise) Snyder of Wheelersburg, Carla Snyder (Todd Mitchell) of Sanford, NC; four grandchildren, Mandy (J.W.) Kline, Derek (Erin) Snyder, Joseph Robert LaCayo (Brittany), Amanda LaCayo; four great grandchildren, Oakley Snyder, Mallie Snyder, Marleigh Snyder, Karleigh Reutzel; two step grandchildren, Chris (Greta) White, John White; four step great grandchildren, Raygan Reyes, Dominic Reyes, Christian White, Maddox White, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Sidney Snyder, George Snyder, Merle Snyder, and six sisters, Kathleen Edwards, Louise Lockwood, Lillian Claypool, Fay Lockwood. Tharlene Salisbury, and Betty Annen.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2025 at Wheeler Cemetery in Lucasville with Pastor Brett McGraw officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by James Irwin Post No. 622 American Legion and William A. Baker Post No. 363.
