Robert Miller McKeag, 77, of Portsmouth, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Portsmouth on August 21, 1943 to the late Robert D. and Pauline (Covert) McKeag. Robert served his country in the United States Air Force and was a former member of the Minford Local Fire Department. He loved fishing and NASCAR racing.
Robert is survived by his wife, Bonnie, whom he celebrated his 56th anniversary with on January 8th; one daughter, Sara Pack and husband James of Portsmouth; one sister, Wanda Janet Givens of Dunedin, FL; two grandsons, Dustin Tyler Pack and Brody James Pack. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mary Esther (Gash) Stone; and a brother-in-law, Edward Givens.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME – WOLFE – NELSON CHAPEL in Sciotoville with Pastor Kenneth Estep officiating. Interment willl follow at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY with military graveside honors provided by the James Dickey Post #23 of the American Legion.
