Rosalie Brown, age 93, of Lloyd, KY., passed away December 29, 2025, at Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods, KY., Rosalie was born September 13, 1932, in Louder, KY., a daughter of the late George and Fannie Howard McGlone.
Rosalie was a homemaker and enjoyed being a caregiver for many young children. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Carter City, KY.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Virgil Brown; one son, Keith Brown; three brothers, Edward, Weldon (Slim) and Leon McGlone; four sisters, Lola Garner, Elizabeth McCleese, Cleo Midgett and Berneida McGlone; one sister/niece Christine Hickerson and one special niece, Dolores Potter.
She is survived by three sons, Allen (Linda) Brown of Lloyd, KY., Roger (Debbie) Brown of Lloyd KY., and Douglas (Patricia) Brown of Tollesboro, KY. Rosalie is also survived by seven grandchildren, Dustin (Megan) Brown of Lloyd, KY., Chris (Amy) Brown of Lloyd, KY., Stephanie (Josh) Gillum of Wurtland, KY., Ryan (Ashley) Brown of Greenup, KY., Kala (Aaron) Staten of Jacksonville, FL., Savannah Brown and Tanner Euton of South Shore, KY; two step grandchildren, Colin and Clay Newsome; seven great-grandchildren, Korbin, Bowen, and Emmie Gillum of Wurtland, KY., Allie Jo and Josie Brown of Lloyd, KY., Millie Rosalie and Eli Brown of Greenup, KY. She also leaves behind special nieces, nephews, and friends who will mourn her loss.

Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Elbie Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Grizzle Cemetery in Greenup, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Friday from 12 P.M. until the funeral hour.
