Portsmouth Police Officers responded to the Potter’s House Ministries on Winchester Avenue for a report of counterfeit money.
The callers said someone had left fake cash in the donation box. Officers picked up the fake cash and destroyed it at the station.
The Potter’s House Ministries offers free tax preparation services to people in need, assistance in applying for state aid and Medicaid, a food pantry, and a summer day camp for kids, and it accepts prayer requests.
