A 17th Street resident called Portsmouth Police at 2 pm to report a school bus had taken out the cable line near his house during its morning run.
He also said the bus had damaged the siding on his home and provided video. Officers noted that a new pole had been recently installed and that the line may have come loose on its own, causing the bus to snag it.

They told the man to contact Spectrum Cable about their line and suggested he could also contact Portsmouth Schools Transportation Department to discuss the matter as well.
