Deputies investigated threats against a local school after friends of one student claimed to have overheard the student making threats.

Deputies spoke to the child, who said she had been discussing how much she hated her previous school and that she was only making a joke.
Deputies warned the child not to make those kinds of jokes and advised the girl’s mother that she would not be allowed to ride the bus and must be taken directly to the school board office in the morning.
