The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office fielded 51 separate incidents across the county on Tuesday, June 24. Though the department stopped providing full call logs to Scioto County Daily News in early 2025, we remain committed to transparency and continue to report all available details.
Here’s what kept our first responders hopping:
🚑 Medical & EMS Calls – 29 Calls
- 17 patients were transported to area hospitals.
- Calls ranged from minor concerns to serious medical events at locations like Pirate Drive, Eckhart Road, Rarden-Hazelbaker Road, and Tipton Lane.
- Multiple calls came from group living facilities like Pleasant Valley Apartments and Stoney Creek Apts.
🚓 Crimes & Complaints
- Assault: One reported on St. Rte. 139.
- Thefts: At least three, including reports from Pine Creek Farms, Careys Run-Pond Creek Rd, and Flowers Ison Rd.
- Stolen Vehicle: One case on Junior Furnace-Powellsville Rd.
- Domestic Disputes: Handled at South Washington Blvd, Riverbend House, and Dutch Ridge Rd.
- Suspicious Activity: Reports of suspicious persons and vehicles at Rosemount Rd, Shelia Blvd, and more.
- Mental Health Concerns: Both incidents occurred at the same residence on S. Washington Blvd.
🚗 Traffic & Fire Incidents
- Non-injury Accidents: At Wendy’s Wheelersburg and Minford Dairy Bar.
- Vehicle Fire: Along US 52 East, near the Greenup exit.
- Blocked Roadway: Near EIFORT Freewill Baptist Church.
- Structure Fire: Reported on Dutch Ridge Rd.
🔔 Alarm Drops – 9 Total
- False or triggered alarms were reported at:
- Dr. Duncan’s Office
- Smith St, Marne Ave, Crabtree’s Market
- Scioto County Garage
- Benestar Chip Factory, among others.
