A young man stands accused of the brutal murder of an older man in Kentucky.
Rowan County Sheriff’s Department requested assistance from Kentucky State Police regarding a death investigation at 55 Lafayette Drive in Morehead on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
A physical altercation occurred between Matt Jones, 35, of Morehead, and Earl Glover, 60, also of Morehead. Mr. Jones allegedly continued to beat Mr. Glover multiple times during the struggle. Mr. Glover was declared deceased by Rowan County Coroner.
Matt Jones was arrested and charged with Murder. He was taken to the Rowan County Detention Center on a 100,000 bail. The most recent report from police did not reveal what sparked the argument or what type of implement Jones used in the alleged killing. The case remains an ongoing investigation led by Kentucky State Police Morehead.
