1 Sexual Assault Reported at Restaurant
A caller contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office just after 9 pm on Sunday night to say an employee at a local restaurant was sexually assaulted by a co-worker while at work on Sunday.
Police checked in on the alleged victim, and officers took information for a report.
2 Man Chases Woman Into Traffic on Thomas Avenue
Just before 1 pm, Police responded to a report of an assault on Thomas Avenue. Police received multiple calls about the attack, reporting that a man was beating on a woman and had chased her out into moving traffic.
When police arrived on the scene, they detained the man. However, neither party wanted to press criminal charges. While officers can make arrests in domestic violence cases without someone pressing charges, the two did not live together, so police could not pursue domestic violence charges.
