Shannon Jay Wood, 41 of West Portsmouth, died Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at his home. He was born April 19, 1980, in Portsmouth to Terry Lee Wood Sr. and Judy Blanton Pope.
He was preceded in death by his son Shannon Jay Wood Jr., 2 brothers: Terry Lee Wood Jr and Timothy Johnson, and his grandparents: Jay and Betty Blanton and Leonard Wood, and Lillian White.

Along with his parents, Shannon is survived by 3 brothers: Leslie Wood, Dustin Wood, and Douglas Wood, he is also survived by a sister Christina Wood.
