Sharon K. Chasteen (Lawrence), a longtime resident of Tallahassee, Florida, and formerly of Wheelersburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Born June 22nd, 1962 to Loretta and Glenn Lawrence, she was 62 years old.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn O. Lawrence. Sharon is survived by her devoted husband of 39 years, Carl Chasteen; her mother, Loretta Lawrence; a brother, Larry (Susan) Lawrence; her three beloved daughters, Kathryn Chasteen (Matthew March), Bethany Schwartz (Justin), and Rachel Murray (Peter); as well as two cherished grandchildren, Eli and Evelyn Schwartz.
Sharon’s life was marked by love and resilience. For 19 years, she was the crossing guard for Robert’s Elementary and Montford Middle School in Tallahassee, FL. Though she faced profound losses, she remained a source of strength and inspiration to those who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her kindness and unwavering spirit.
