A Portsmouth man already out on bail for child endangerment is back behind bars—this time for beating a neighbor’s dog with a board!
Timothy McKinney, 37, was indicted by the Scioto County Grand Jury on animal cruelty and breaking & entering charges after an alleged brutal attack on an innocent pet. Sources tell us he went onto a neighbor’s property and beat their dog with a 2 x 4. The court issued a warrant for his arrest, and officers hauled McKinney into the Scioto County Jail on February 28.
OUT ON BAIL – AND BACK IN TROUBLE!
Just two weeks ago, McKinney and his wife, Faith, were arrested after horrific conditions were discovered inside their home. Deputies, acting on a tip, found children living in filth alongside a bizarre collection of animals—including dogs, a pig, and even a duck!
The conditions were reportedly so dangerous that deputies immediately called for an ambulance and the county dog warden. Witnesses say the heartbreaking scene included children helping load their own beloved pets into the dog warden’s vehicle before being taken into CPS custody.
COURTROOM DRAMA AHEAD!
McKinney and his wife were previously released on bond after Portsmouth Municipal Court Judge Russell Kegley ruled them indigent and waived their legal fees. But now, with these shocking new animal cruelty charges, McKinney is set to face a judge on March 19. Meanwhile, Faith McKinney’s next hearing on the child endangerment charge is scheduled for March 4.
