Deputies responded to a domestic violence incident just after 11 pm when a caller reported shots had been fired.
When they arrived on the scene, a man explained he did not intend to shoot anyone but had fired shots in the air during an argument with a woman over his not going to church and doing drugs. He said he fired shots into the hill across the creek and then threw down the drugs. He also asked officers to go in and get the drugs.
Officers found three small children inside the home and confiscated a meth pipe and a bag of narcotics.
They told the man he would also be charged with drug possession as the drugs were found in a common area of the homes he shared with the woman. They also charged the woman with drug possession but allowed her to remain in the home with the children. However, they did call in CPS to investigate.
Officers took the man into custody for domestic violence and drug possession.
