A smartwatch had apparently had enough of dealing with a feuding couple and decided to call 9-1-1 on its own.
Just after 2 am, dispatch received a call and heard a man say, “Don’t shoot me, you had your chance to kill me.” Also on the open line, they heard a woman say, don’t hurt me, let go of me.”
The woman eventually realized she’d called 9-1-1 and claimed there was nothing wrong.
However, officers have answered repeated calls to the home over various issues and were aware that the woman owned a gun.
Deputies responded to the home just to check things out. They said the outside of the house seemed clear, and the residents said they were sleeping and had not been arguing. Neither person had an injury. The woman claimed her smartwatch had called 9-1-1. Officers left the pair to return to bed.
