He says she aimed. She says he broke in. The truth? Still full of holes—literally.
A twisted tale of family drama, drug use, and gunfire unfolded early in the morning when a man reported that his own mother shot at him—three times—as he tried to leave her home.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 45 after a man claimed he narrowly escaped a meth-fueled shootout with his mom. According to him, he had gone to her County Road 52 home around 6 a.m. to collect his belongings. After knocking—loudly and repeatedly—he gave up and headed back to his car. But just as he was pulling out of the driveway, he says he spotted his mother on the porch, silver revolver in hand, and watched her fire off three rounds in his direction.
He didn’t realize his car had been hit until he got home—and sure enough, deputies later confirmed there was a bullet hole in the rear driver’s side door. Unfortunately, no bullet or fragments were found inside the vehicle, raising more questions than answers.
But hold up—Mom’s version flips the script entirely.
When deputies rolled up to her house, she denied pulling the trigger, but didn’t exactly deny the chaos. She claimed she woke up to a masked man in her bedroom, only to realize it was her son. She says the power had mysteriously gone out, and he allegedly confessed to cutting the electricity, kicking in her door, and trying to swipe her wallet and truck keys.
Despite the madness, Mom insisted she didn’t want her son to get in trouble. But investigators weren’t buying peace and forgiveness just yet. They found a busted door frame, a clear boot print, and tire tracks matching the timeline of the son’s visit. Photos were taken, evidence was collected, and dispatch confirmed the call came in around 7:53 a.m.—just minutes after the alleged break-in and/or drive-by showdown.
At this point, no arrests have been made and both parties seem more interested in avoiding charges than pressing them. But with meth, masks, missing bullets, and broken doors in the mix, this is one domestic dispute that won’t blow over quietly.
🧨 Family Feuds & Firearms: A Deadly Mix
This bizarre incident serves as a reminder that domestic disputes can quickly spiral into dangerous territory, especially when substance abuse and weapons are involved. Whether he was shot at or she was burglarized, one thing’s clear — this isn’t your typical mother-son disagreement.
Stay tuned… this saga is far from over.
