On July 3, 2022, Deputies responded to River Bend Campground at 1092 Whetstone River Road South for a report of a female unresponsive following some type of fight.
Both the Deputies and firefighters from the First Consolidated Fire Department were sent to the scene together.
Upon their arrival on the scene, Natalie Rudd, 42, was no longer breathing, and CPR was in progress. The victim was found to be suffering from multiple stab wounds.
She was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead not long after arrival.
The culprit, according to eyewitnesses, rode away on a motorcycle.

Deputy John Endicott discovered Chadwick Greenawalt, 44, while he was en route to the scene and conducted a traffic stop.
Because Greenawalt was injured, he was taken to the same hospital as the victim and treated there for his injuries as well.
After he received treatment, he was arrested and taken to the Multi-County Jail on a charge of Involuntary Manslaughter.
