Jason was a man who truly enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved being outdoors, especially spending time fishing, whether it was a quiet day by the water or simply enjoying the peace that came with it. Music was a big part of who he was, and he especially enjoyed listening to Jason Aldean and Kid Rock, often turning up the volume and enjoying the moment. Jason lived life with a lightness that was hard to miss. He was known for his humor, his quick wit, and the way he could make people laugh even on their hardest days. Above all, he will be remembered for the joy and laughter he brought to those around him.
Along with his father, he is survived by his son, Ethan Meade of Salyersville, Kentucky; a brother, Jeremy Meade; a sister, Margaret Lemaster; along with several nieces and nephews, extended family members, and many friends who will greatly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 PM prior to the service.
