We’ve covered a string of strange incidents at local hotels recently, including one where guests woke up to find the only employee at the Quality Inn had apparently overdosed in the office.
Officers got another call about strange behavior when a guest at the hotel said a very tall man with dreds was trying to get into people’s rooms. When officers spoke to the front desk, she explained the man was a guest who had gotten confused and was having a little trouble finding his room.
Around 8 a.m., officers got a call from a woman who first claimed she was at the Charleston, West Virginia Quality Inn, then at a Quality Inn located in Minford. She eventually admitted she wasn’t sure where she was, but described a gruesome scene involving assaults.
Officers traced the call to an area residence, but no one would come to the door. Officers believe the call was made by someone having mental health issues.
At 1 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the Quality Inn in Wheelersburg after a customer refused to pay her bill. After officers arrived, she agreed to pay up and was advised not to return to the hotel
