Taylor Nicole Bocook, 30, of Ironton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in Huntington, West Virginia. She was born in Ashland, Kentucky on September 30, 1992, a daughter to Julie (Rick) Sturgill of Ironton and the late David Bocook.
Taylor graduated from Dawson Bryant High School with the class of 2010. Taylor loved exploring the outdoors and was most at home with a fishing pole in her hand and her faithful dog, Abby, at her side. Taylor and Abby were inseparable, and their bond was a testament to the unconditional love they shared.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandfather, William “Bill” Bocook, and her aunt, Sue Pyles.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Alison Roach of Ironton, her brother, Jacob (Kasey) Bocook of Ironton, her grandmother, Phyllis Bocook of Coal Grove, her grandparents, Gary and Sharon Scott of Sparta, TN, a special friend and her family, Barbie White, Latisha and Joe White, Stephen and Eli White, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her dog, Abby.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2023, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. 7th St. Ironton, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net to offer online condolences to the family.
