Investigators from the Ohio State Patrol are looking into the Thursday night accident that killed 40-year-old Heather Grooms.
Officers say the West Union woman was walking north on Eckmansville Road when a teen driver hit and killed her. EMS transported Grooms to the hospital, but she did not survive the accident.
According to the OSP report, the accident happened just south of Russellville Road around 9 pm in Winchester Township.

The teen driver was not injured in the crash. Thus far, no charges have been filed, and the accident remains under investigation.
