Terena G. Hall Tackett, 61, of South Shore, KY., was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on June 12, 1964, to Donald B. and D. Louise Porter Hall, who preceded her in death.
She fought cancer for 16 years before she succumbed to it. She didn’t let cancer get her down; she stayed positive throughout years of chemotherapy, surgeries, and radiation. With her family and friends by her side the whole time, especially her friend, Cherie, who was by her side from day one till the end. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Getting together with family at holidays and birthdays, and having dinner once a month with her four special friends from high school.
She is survived by two sons, Ellis Ray (Katie) Tackett III and Nicholas (Amanda) Tackett. Her grandchildren, whom she cherished, bringing her so much joy in her final years: Evie Tackett and Harper Tackett; Brother Greg (Kim) Hall; Sister Gwen (Patrick) Roche; Niece and nephews: Greg (Savannah) Hall, Brad ( Whitney) Fluty, Sarah (Shawn) McClurg, Lee(Ana) Fluty, Adam Fluty and Brendan Roche and several great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are her two sons and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Monday, December 22, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Jim and Susanne Hess officiating. Burial will follow at Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
