Toddler Found Wandering on Brown Street
Just before 7 pm, witnesses spotted a 3-year-old girl walking down the sidewalk alone on Brown Street. The child was able to show an officer where she lived and walk them to the home.
The child’s father said the mother had just left for work and must not have locked the door. He had been in the bathroom and noticed the door was open when he got out and immediately came out looking for the child.
Police notified CPS of the incident and returned the child to her father.
Man in Hospital Gown Spotted Lying on Side of Road
At 10 am, officers went to check on a report of a man lying on the side of 17th Street near Mound Park in a hospital gown and blanket.
The man had an incision on his stomach from recent surgery and had reported feeling suicidal. Medics said he left KDMC against the advice of doctors.
Woman in Red Freaks Out at Kroger
Officers headed to Kroger at noon to investigate a report of a woman in a red shirt hanging around the back door of the store.
Police spoke to her, and she left the scene without incident.
At 1:30 pm, EMS was dispatched to the store for a report of the same woman having panic attacks in the parking lot. However, by the time medics arrived, she had left the scene.
Angry Man Makes Threats on Court Street
Just after 6 pm, callers reported a man in a white tank top yelling at people at 2nd and Court Streets. Witnesses said the man had a rock in his hand and was threatening to harm people.
Officers took the man into custody and booked him into the Scioto County Jail.
