A troubled man who believed he was being followed prompted multiple calls to police.
At 2:19 a.m., SOMC security called in to complain the man was at the hospital and refused to leave. They said he’d come into the hospital twice, but refused treatment.
Police told him he was no longer welcome at the hospital unless he had a medical emergency.
The same man called 9-1-1 from Rally’s at 5 a.m. to report he was being followed by satellites. He said he was walking to KDMC in search of treatment.
Another individual suffering a mental health crisis repeatedly called 9-1-1 in search of help. Officers responded to the Speedway at 2 a.m. after she asked for a squad. She called 9-1-1 twice but didn’t want to speak with officers. Police said she seemed lucid enough when asked questions, however, they warned her not to call 9-1-1 again or she would be charged.
