A troubled man, who police have arrested 36 times, was behind a disturbance on 17th Street.
At 1 am, a caller reported a shirtless man running around outside a PMHA apartment yelling and screaming.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a man they have frequent contact with, usually for disorderly conduct and drug charges. Police have arrested him eight times in the past two years on charges of disorderly conduct, burglary, probation violation, and illegal conveyance of items into the jail.
Police said he was under the influence of an unknown substance and arranged for an ambulance to transport him to SOMC for evaluation and treatment.
Officers advised SOMC Security to contact them when the man was released since they still wanted to take him into custody.
