A late-night alert ended with two arrests and a child placed safely with family after police tracked down the subject of a countywide lookout.
Just after 9 p.m., the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office asked Portsmouth police to respond to a Kentland Avenue address to locate Reese Glispie, who was the subject of a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) issued earlier in the evening.
Officers located Glispie at the address and immediately notified the Sheriff’s Office. A child found on scene was removed from the situation and placed in the care of grandparents.
Glispie and Aaron Brown were both arrested and booked into the Scioto County Jail on charges of endangering children.
Court Appearances and Release
Glispie appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Friday, where she was fingerprinted and released from jail on her own recognizance. Her pretrial hearing is scheduled for January 27.
Brown also appeared in court and was released on his own recognizance with the same January 27 pretrial date. Court records show Brown has prior arrests for assault and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations. Both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
