It was anything but fun and games at two of Wheelersburg’s most popular recreational spots Thursday as back-to-back police calls had deputies scrambling from the community pool to the Little League field in a matter of hours! 

🏊‍♀️ Poolside Panic – Man Runs After Alleged Assault 

At 6:22 p.m., chaos erupted at the Porter Township Community Pool when a caller reported that a female had been assaulted by a male. The suspect? A mystery man in black clothes, who was seen fleeing on a blue motorcycle headed eastbound on Gallia Pike. 

👀 Witnesses were unsure if he was still lurking around “the back” of the property, but by the time deputies arrived, he was gone. 

🚨 Deputies attempted to contact the Ohio State Highway Patrol to issue a BOLO (Be On the Lookout), but the call went to voicemail—yep, voicemail. 

Luckily, just minutes later, a deputy spotted the man near Misty’s, and here’s the twist: there was no actual assault or weapon involved, according to officers. 

However, the man who ran? Officially trespassed from the Porter Township Pool. Looks like his pool pass is permanently revoked. 🛑 

⚾ Late-Night Drama at the Diamond 

But Wheelersburg wasn’t done yet. Around 10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Wheelersburg Little League field after reports of a man and woman arguing—and whispers that the man might be armed with a gun. 

Things got even more intense when a second caller contacted a deputy at home, reporting that the man had threatened her boyfriend with a gun and told him to leave. 

🚓 Officers rushed to the scene… but by the time they arrived, it was crickets.

No arguing, no armed man, no obvious disturbance—just an eerily quiet ballfield. Witnesses on scene said they hadn’t seen a gun or any physical fight. Deputies advised them to call again if anything flared up.
