Vickie Elaine (Swords) Chaffin, 73, of Odle Creek Road in West Portsmouth, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2025. She was born on June 23, 1951, to the late Robert “Bob” and Catherine “Kate” Swords.
She is survived by two sons, Chuck Swords (wife Eloise) and Wade Chaffin; stepson Shane Ocheltree; one granddaughter, Charity Coleman (husband Matt); two great grandsons, Grayson and Damon Coleman; two brothers, Earl “Bud” Swords and Dan Swords; and four sisters, Wanda Caudill, Sue Lamblin, Charrie Arthur, and Cindy Swords.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Chaffin; her son, David Chaffin; eight brothers, Robert “Bob, James “Jim,” Richard, Ralph, Marvin, Melvin, Steve, and an infant twin brother; and five sisters, Phyllis Kelly, Julia “Sheila” Collins, Valarie Dugan, Lisa, and an infant twin sister.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Dan Swords officiating and interment in Obetz Cemetery.
