Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies and the EMS responded to Oakwood Avenue, near Friendship, after a report of a terrifying home invasion.

A man called 9-1-1 just before 1 am to say two men with guns chased him and his mother down. He said he lost track of his mother and ran into his home, and the men were now in the alley behind the house throwing things and trying to get him to come back.
He said he’d fought with his assailants and thought he might have a concussion. He later called back to say his attackers were beating on the windows while he hid under the bed.
When officers arrived on the scene, they saw no sign of the attackers but called for an ambulance to take the man to the hospital.
However, twenty minutes later, they returned to the scene after a man reported his car windows were broken out by a boy who assaulted him with a bat.
During the midst of this investigation, officers dealt with a suicide attempt by a woman who was rushed to the hospital.
Officers investigated the scene and took statements from victims at the hospital. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
