Virgil Wayne Alley, 59, of Minford, went home to be with his heavenly father and his son Joey on December 15, 2025, at home.
Wayne was born May 3, 1966, to the late Amos & Shirley Davis Alley.
He was a graduate of Valley Local School District; he was previously employed at Shumway Tires until they closed. Wayne then took ownership of the family business, Alley’s Firewood and Parts.
He attended Wakefield Free Will Baptist Church in Wakefield, Ohio.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 35 years Loretta Cassady Alley of Minford, Kyle Cassady and his daughter Kara of Portsmouth, one brother Duke (Gail) Alley, of Lucasville, Ohio; two sisters Roxann Alley and Melissa Alley of Lucasville, Ohio; two brothers-in-law, Timothy (Kris) Cassady of Mechanicsburg, Ohio and David Cassady of Cary, North Carolina; One sister-in-law, Renee (Jerry) Howard of Wheelersburg, Ohio; He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Wayne was preceded in death by two brothers Tony and Frankie Alley; his mother-in-law Carolyn Cassady and father-in-law Garfield Cassady.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Lowell King and Pastor Jr Wiley officiating. Burial will be at Jacobs Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 9:00p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
