Officers took a wanted woman with a long arrest history into custody after receiving a report of a suspicious person on Thomas Avenue just after 2 p.m.
A caller said they were walking their dog when someone came out of the woods with an axe. When police responded to the scene, they discovered a woman with an open warrant from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.
Police arrested Trista Howard and booked her into the Scioto County Jail for failure to appear. This was at least her 30th arrest.
The 39-year-old woman was previously arrested for multiple counts of probation violation, multiple counts of escape, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of heroin, driving under a suspension, criminal trespassing, and receiving stolen property.
