Authorities in West Virginia said one woman was killed in a tubing accident and two others were injured.
According to a statement from the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, a boat was pulling the women on a tube near the Vandalia boat ramp.
The statement said it appears the boat driver swung too close to the rock wall, causing the collision. According to West Virginia officials, one woman died and two others were flown to a hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities said patrol boats were on the lake and were on the scene within minutes.
The authorities in West Virginia didn’t release the names of those involved but said they were all 29 years old.
