Wheelersburg Seniors Busted During Senior Prank
Thirty Wheelersburg High School students were caught in the act of trying to pull off a senior prank late Sunday.
School officials contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report the janitorial staff caught the kids filling the hallway with confetti, glitter, and other debris.
The prankers also stacked a large number of chairs in the bathroom and zip-tied multiple doors shut. There was no damage, but school officials did want to make a report.
Thief Caught in the Act on Rosemount Road
A witness contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office at 4:15 am to report he woke up to the sound of a saw and heard someone cutting the locks off a storage unit.
He said there was a truck with lights on and that he thought he heard more than one person. Deputies contacted PPD for backup and headed to the scene.
Officers took a suspect into custody and transported him to the Scioto County Jail, where he was booked on charges of theft.
Vehicle Ends Up In Creek on White-Gravel McDaniel Road
A vehicle hit a powerline and ended up in a creek on White Gravel- McDaniel Road just before 3 pm on Sunday.
Dispatch requested a squad, but didn’t get an answer, so they asked Portsmouth Ambulance to cover the run. Fortunately, no one was injured.
