1. Wife Arrested After Attack on Husband
A man contacted Portsmouth Police to report his wife had attacked him just before noon. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered there was an open warrant for her arrest on a theft complaint.
Officers took a statement from the victim and arrested a 25-year-old woman for violating a protection order and on a theft warrant. She was released per the court.
Police arrested another woman for domestic violence after an incident on Grandview Avenue. She was also released without bond.
2. Woman Denies Owning Dog Registered to Her
Some confusion over the rightful owner of a dog found roaming lost on a 11th Street. The animal had a tag that said it was registered to a Portsmouth woman, but she claimed that it was not her dog.
Police contacted Animal Control to pick up the pooch.
3. Dirty Needles Left on the Sidewalk
Officers responded to a report of two used syringes lying on the sidewalk on Shawnee Road. Police disposed of the needles in a sharps container.
Just after 7 pm, police responded to a report of an overdosed woman on Robinson Avenue. An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.
Around 8 pm, a caller reported finding a visitor unresponsive in their bathroom. They administered Narcan and called 911. Medics transported the man to the hospital.
