William Keith Vanderpool, 68, of Wheelersburg, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. He was born September 1, 1955 in Portsmouth.
He was a dedicated member of the Dry Run Church of Christ, serving faithfully as an Elder and treasurer. He loved deer hunting, playing golf, and was affectionately known as “The Toy Guy” for his passion for old toy trucks.
Above all, he deeply loved his family. As a devoted father, husband, brother, and grandfather, his greatest joy was found in their company. His warmth and generosity extended to everyone he met, making all feel welcome and valued. His legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will be cherished by all who knew him.
Keith is survived by his wife, Susan Gregory Vanderpool; 2 daughters, Mackenzie Coakley and husband Alex, Maddison Edwards and husband Ian all of Wheelersburg; a brother, Eddie Vanderpool and wife Kathy of Centerville; 2 sisters, Donna Huffman and husband David of Lexington, KY and Julie Moore and husband Mark of South Shore, KY; 3 grandchildren, Deacon Coakley, Sunday Coakley and Harper Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William O. Vanderpool and Patricia (Mercer) Vanderpool, 3 grandchildren, Rory Edwards, Honey Edwards and Baby Coakley.
Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg, with Pastors Alex Coakley and Mark Seevers officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 PM Tuesday July 16, 2024 and 11 AM to 12 Noon prior to services on Wednesday.
