Wilma Juanita (Hughes) Morris, age 93, was called home to be with her Lord, on February 8, 2021.
This morning, my mother, Wilma Juanita Morris, had a glorious change in address. She left this broken world and is now rejoicing in the arms of her precious Savior. Thank you all for your love and prayers! Absent from the body, and present with The Lord!! Love you mom and will miss you so much!
She was born on September 26, 1927, to Thomas and Ethel Agnes (Bush) Hughes in Oak Hill, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother ( Thomas, Jr.), and one sister (Virginia (Hughes) jiMorris).
She was married to Leonard Earl Morris on February 27, 1946. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1981.
This marriage brought two children, Constance S. Smith (Roger) born March 18, 1947, and John P. born on May 13, 1949, both of South Webster. She leaves 5 grandchildren, Michael S. (Angel), Cynthia L. McCoy (Keith), Matthew A. (Cassandra), Donna R., and Johnda McCormick. Great-grandchildren, Hannah McCoy, Leigha McCoy, Josiah McCoy, Micah McCoy, Moriah McCoy, Jerry Lee Stonerock, Jessica Stonerock, Lexie Rawlins, Brantly McCormick. Nora Evelyn Smith. And two great-great-grandchild. One deceased great grand-daughter.
Wilma accepted the Lord as her Savior on August 9, 1993, and was baptized on September 5, 1993. Her name was written in the Book of Life and the book at The Old Country Tabernacle Church on March 5, 1994. She has attended The Old Country Tabernacle Church since it was built in 1952.
She has been a member of the Eastern Star for 69 years.
She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
A private funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastor Brian Carman officiating, there will be no visitation hours. Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery.
