A Portsmouth woman is behind bars charged with hitting a man with a trash can, and her victim is also in jail.
Just after 7 am, Portsmouth Police answered a call for a domestic violence incident on Highland Avenue. The caller said a woman had hit a man on the head with a trash can.
When officers arrived, they sent for EMS to treat a man with a bloody head.
Police arrested Alicia Seibert for domestic violence.
However, it turned out that her victim, Aleksander Viebrooks, had an open warrant for a probation violation. Officers arrested him as well.
Police booked both parties into the Scioto County Jail.
