Talk about a wrong turn! A Kentucky woman ended her night behind bars after backing her car straight into a Portsmouth Police cruiser.
Just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of Gallia and Offnere, officers got an up-close look at impaired driving — when Hannah Hunt reversed right into their vehicle. Instead of just handing over her license and registration, Hunt was cuffed and charged with OVI (Operating a Vehicle Impaired).
But the bad decisions didn’t stop there — she was also cited for blowing through a stop sign. Police had her car towed to the impound lot and booked her into the Scioto County Jail. Hunt later posted bail and now faces a pre-trial hearing in Portsmouth Municipal Court on June 16.
🚫 Don’t Be Like Hannah: Why Drinking and Driving is a One-Way Ticket to Disaster
🍺 Not worth it – A couple of drinks can turn into a criminal record, impound fees, court costs, and license suspension real fast.
🚓 You’re not invisible – Especially when you back into a police car.
🚕 Call a ride – Uber, Lyft, taxi, designated driver… even walking is a better option.
🧠 Think ahead – Plan your ride before you crack open that first cold one.
Bottom line? Drink if you want. Drive if you must. But never both. Your car — and your dignity — will thank you.
