Woman Claims Neighbor Killed Dog – Officers Investigate
Portsmouth Police Officers responded to a report of a dead dog lying in a yard. A woman told them she believed her neighbor killed the animal.
However, when officers arrived at the scene, they said the dog had apparently been attacked and killed by the dogs that lived at the home after it came into their yard.

Officers reported the dogs were secured on their own property.
Pit Bull Attack Reported at Mound Park
A woman contacted PPD just after 7 pm to report a dog attack at a local park.
The woman said she was attacked and bitten by a pit bull near mound park. The dog then took off in the direction of the tennis courts and down the alley.
Officers took information for a report.
