Portsmouth Police Officers and medics from the fire department responded to Gallia and Offnere after a woman was hit by a car at 9:30 pm. Medics transported the victim to the hospital.
A driver called in to say they were following the vehicle that left the scene. They provided the license number and said the car had already crossed over into Kentucky.

PPD notified Kentucky Police and picked up the victim’s mother to give her a ride to the hospital. The condition of the woman was not released in the report.
