Online dating turned into a nightmare for a woman who ended up jumping from a moving vehicle to get away from her Tinder date.
Deputies responded to a report of a woman who had jumped from a vehicle on County Road 37 just after 7 pm. EMTs were already on the scene treating the woman for injuries. S
The woman told the officer she’d met the man on the dating app, and he’d picked her up in Gallipolis. She said the man took her to see the strip mines and tried to get her to drink alcohol. When she refused, he became sexually aggressive and refused to let her get out of the car. She said after he sped up and refused to stop, she decided to jump.
Witnesses on the scene said they saw a woman jump from a speeding vehicle, and they ran to help her.
EMS transported the woman to the hospital. Officers took statements from witnesses and also photographed the blood on the ground where the woman jumped from the vehicle.
The woman said she was unsure of her date’s real name, but could show officers his Tinder profile.
