A routine call about a shoplifter at the Gallia Street Speedway ended with a familiar face in handcuffs—and a long list of charges.
Just after dawn, police responded to reports of a theft in progress. When officers arrived, they quickly identified 41-year-old Abbi Andre as the suspect. A quick search turned up not only stolen items, but illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Officers didn’t waste time. Andre was taken into custody and charged with theft, possession of drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her vehicle was impounded and towed to the city lot. She was booked into the Scioto County Jail to await her next day in court.
Not Her First Rodeo
This isn’t a new chapter in Andre’s story—it’s a sequel. Court records show she’s faced a laundry list of charges over the years, including:
- Theft
- Felonious Assault
- Falsification
- Drug Abuse
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Concealed Weapons
- Assembling Chemicals to Manufacture Drugs
Help Is Out There
Andre’s story is another reminder that addiction and criminal behavior often go hand in hand. If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse, help is available—judgment-free and close to home.
