You can run, you can hide—but not from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.
Cops showed up at a West Portsmouth home to serve a warrant on Stephanie Ramey, but instead of going quietly, she allegedly tried to pull a fast one—scrambling to hide drugs before officers could catch her red-handed.
Nice try.
Ramey was promptly slapped with extra charges, including theft and tampering with evidence, and booked into the Scioto County Jail. The theft charge traces back to an incident in April, but her courtroom drama continues with a preliminary hearing set for August 7.
🚨 Crime Tip:
Trying to hide drugs when the cops come knocking? Bad idea. Tampering with evidence is a serious felony—and it almost always gets noticed. If you’re already in hot water, don’t pour gasoline on the fire.
